Learn to build real software with AI.
Three 6-hour courses — Introduction, Intermediate, Advanced — taught by a practitioner who's shipped working apps with Claude Code and is researching AI in Professional Training and Licensing at the University of Toronto. No traditional coding background required.
Three courses. Six hours each. Take one or all three.
Each course runs as a single full day or split across shorter sessions. Pick the level that matches where you are.
Foundations of AI-assisted building
6 hours · one day or split
From “I’ve used ChatGPT” to “I just shipped a working tool.”
- Picking the right tool for the job: Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude Web, NotebookLM
- How LLMs actually work — and where they fail you
- Writing prompts that produce usable output, not hallucinations
- Setting up Claude Code on your machine — permissions, projects, first run
- Build: a single-page tool for your own work, end-to-end
Ship something real
6 hours · one day or split
Turn a prototype into a working web app for your profession.
- Structuring a real project — files, data, third-party APIs, version control
- Git and GitHub through Claude Code — no terminal gymnastics required
- Connecting to databases, email, and payment providers (Stripe, Supabase)
- Iterating fast without breaking what already works
- Build: a working web app specific to your profession
Ship, deploy, maintain
6 hours · one day or split
Put your app in front of real users and keep it running.
- Deployment to production — Vercel, custom domains, environment variables
- User accounts, authentication, and access control
- Adding AI features inside your own app (Claude / Gemini / OpenAI APIs)
- Testing, monitoring, and handling incidents without panicking
- Build: your app deployed live, with real users signing in

flat, per 6-hour day
Private session for your team or organization, branded if you want. Custom curriculum emphasis on request.
In-person

What you'll walk away with.
These aren't promises of certificates. They're the working artifacts and judgement you'll actually use the week after the course ends.
A working app built for your own profession — not a toy demo
A mental model for when to reach for Claude Code vs. ChatGPT vs. Gemini vs. NotebookLM
A personal prompt library you keep and improve
The judgement to tell when AI output is correct, risky, or wrong — before you ship it
Claude Code is our primary tool for building software. We also cover when to reach for each of these — and when not to.

Prerequisites
None of these are hard — just worth checking before your first session so we spend the 6 hours building, not configuring.
- Basic familiarity with ChatGPT or any LLM chat interface
- A Claude subscription (strongly preferred) — we'll help you pick a plan
- A laptop (Mac, Windows, or Linux) you can install software on
- A project idea from your own work — the more specific, the better
